About Me
I became interested in animal massage after our puppy was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in 2008. I took an introductory class on canine massage in 2009 and an online massage class for dogs with hip issues in 2011. In 2015, she tore the Cranial Cruciate Ligament in her left knee and I decided to become a certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner to help her cope with her injury and enrolled at the Northwest School of Animal Massage. After I graduated, I enrolled in the Rehabilitation Massage course to learn more advanced massage techniques. I have been a certified Small Animal Massage Practitioner since 2016.
I became interested in aromatherapy many years ago but found so many of the products on the market for animals were not entirely safe. This became painfully apparent to me when I suffered an injury while applying a "ready to use" aromatherapy product made specifically for animals on my dog. After finishing my massage training, I decided to it was time to pursue formal training in aromatherapy through the school at Ashi Therapy. I have been a Certified Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner since 2019.
